We didn't even know what a hater was when my mom used to force me to find the positive in people. Here's a simple recap of one of the most important lessons I have ever learned.

Of course there is some junk out there today. That's new? We're the only generation to think that 'music just ain't like it used to be' or that some of the most talented people aren't being recognized while some of the less desirable cream rises to the top? Come on! People have been having that thought since before Johnny Mercer wrote the immortal words in 'Hooray for Hollywood' in 1937.

'Hooray for Hollywood, Where you're terrific if you're even good.'

People who are less than the best talents have been sliding through the entertainment cracks since entertainment began.

My point is that while there may be some people who are being paid well, are receiving awards, and are the object of our envy who aren't the absolute best ever, I still don't have to look far to find jaw dropping talent and creativity. Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Foster the People, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Adele, Justin Timberlake, the list of irreplaceable talent goes on for me, and I hope for you.

In my opinion, anyone who doesn't think that music and creativity are at an all time high aren't looking hard enough, or are looking to hate.

My question is this...Doesn't that haterade leave a bad taste in your mouth?
