Fort Collins has some of the best breweries in the world. That’s been confirmed by the numerous awards that have been won by New Belgium, Odell, the Fort Collins Brewery and other great suds makers from the Choice City. The overlap effects from Fort Collins to Denver, and vice versa had to play a role in Denver being named Best Beer City by GQ magazine. Dubbed Brewtown, USA by GQ’s article The 5 Best Beer Cities in America, the article cites pure water and beer friendly laws to the assets that make Denver such a great beer town. Those laws allow the breweries to sell beer where it is made, adding a special ‘from the source’ feel to tastings and enjoying time in a craft, micro, or big brewery. I think the outdoor lifestyle adds to the charm of beers brewed in Denver, and around Colorado. It just feels cool to hold a beer in your hand that was made by the Backcountry Brewery. Outdoors men and women can add to their image by drinking a Single Track Pale Ale, a 2 Below, or a Shift. It certainly doesn’t hurt with marketing.

Hey, the guy who runs the state, Governor Hickenlooper, established himself with the Wynkoop brewery.  The Rockies play in Coors Field. Beer focused restaurants are all over the place, and the nightlife in Denver is fantastic.
