As you comb the nation seeking a new job, you may want to consider the cost of living before moving.

According to the cost of living index from the council of Community and Economic Research the top ten list includes some fairly predictable cities.

The research included over 300 areas and took into account many factors to create the final list. Some factors used to weigh the most expensive cities were housing, utilities, transportation and groceries.

The top ten list of most expensive cities:

  1. Manhattan, NY
  2. Brooklyn, NY
  3. San Francisco, California
  4. Honolulu, Hawaii
  5. San Jose, California
  6. Stamford, Conn.
  7. Queens, NY
  8. Orange County, California
  9. Washington, D. C.
  10. Juneau, Alaska

Sometimes it’s nice to look at these lists and see that the grass isn’t any greener on the other side and what we have and where we live is better than any other place on EARTH! I love Colorado!
