Now I never really considered myself to have much of a sweet tooth, but when I got excited learning that there are going to be cupcake vending machines, or ATM's as they are called, I knew I it was probably time to admit it. Although, we most likely wont see any of these sweet dispensers in our neighborhoods for awhile, they could be coming soon!

Sprinkles, a gourmet cupcake chain with 10 locations nationally, is set to open its first 24-hour cupcake vending machine on March 9 at its original store in Beverly Hills, California. The company hopes there will be ten machines in operation by summer, and even more by the end of the year. The first few ATM's will be at Sprinkles stores, but eventually they could pop up at remote locations all over.

Unfortunately, there are no Sprinkles locations in Colorado, and the closest one is quite a little trek for a cupcake all the way to Scottsdale, Arizona. But, at 4 bucks a piece out of the vending machine, it is probably best on me and my fellow sweet tooth's wallets that they don't make there way here anytime soon!

Cupcakes are great, and the idea is great. I am just hoping it opens the door to other fresh junk food vending machines like doughnuts and cream puffs! Out with the soda, it's bad for you anyways, welcome to the new generation of vending machines!
