CSU Equine Center Damaged in Fire

The CSU Equine Reproductive Laboratory in Ft. Collins was severely damaged by fire early Tuesday morning.

The call came in around 1 a.m. Tuesday of visible flames at a building on the CSU Foothills Campus on the west side of town.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames coming through the roof, according to Poudre Fire Authority spokesperson Patrick Love. Horses were evacuated from surrounding stables.

No horses or people were injured in the fire.

Love says the building looks to be a total loss at this point. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
