I'm so glad to be asking this question.

Could Becky Hammon someday become the first female NBA head coach?

Her rise to the big leagues of men's basketball has been thus far meteoric. That is much like her rise through college basketball, and the pros. She went unrecruited and undrafted and then proceed to show everyone that she is one of the world's best in both collegiate play and the WNBA.

She became the first female assistant coach in the NBA this year when one of the league's best coaches, Greg Popovich, hired her.

Now, she'll be coaching the Spurs for their summer league play as their head coach. It's the first time a female has been at the helm in the NBA summer league.

It's amazing to see one of CSU's own stars become a barrier breaker in the NBA.

Will this amazing trajectory have her going all the way to be a head coach someday? Well, if you don't have faith in Becky Hammon yet, I'm not sure what will change your mind. Me, I could see it happening, and I really hope it does.
