A Boulder, Colorado singer rocked the stage on The Voice last night. Each of the three male judges on the show tried to get Monika Leigh on his team. Her rendition of B.B. King's "The Thrill Is Gone" made Adam, Blake, and Cee Lo all turn their chairs during the blind audition. Blake pulled out 3 awards to win her over.

According to NBC.com, Monika's passion for entertaining was inherited from her parents. Her mother was an actress and her stepdad is a blues musician. Monika eventually gave up music to pursue a career as a special education teacher, but after she lost her father, Monika rekindled her love of singing and is performing on The Voice in his honor.

Colorado so needs this most pleasant diversion, we'll cheer her on, get to know her better,
and savor the show as a welcome break from our flood crises...Thank you Monika and The Voice.

The Voice airs again tonight (Tuesday) on Channel 9 at 7 p.m.
