The Born This Way Ball tour might be delighting tons of little monsters overseas, but there are others who aren’t so happy with Lady Gaga‘s latest stage show. According to WENN, an official at Thailand’s Culture Ministry has berated Lady Gaga over her use of Thailand’s national flag during a performance in Bangkok last month.
Before the ‘American Idol‘ winner of Season 11 was crowned on tonight’s (May 23) big finale, Rihanna hit the stage with a troupe of tribal dancers to perform her latest hit, ‘Where Have You Been.’ Earlier today, RiRi tweeted a picture of herself with some serious dreadlocks, and now we know why! She was rocking a massive ponytail of dreads and straight bangs during her performance, which was impressive visually, but lacked sonically.
It’s no secret that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, mother and father to Dem Babies, are really just kids at heart. Both of the entertainers cherish one another’s playful attitudes (did you see their Halloween costumes last year?!), so it’s really no surprise that Carey and Cannon have teamed up for a family-friendly project that both parents and kids can enjoy.
For the season finale of ‘Glee‘ — the episode is appropriately entitled ‘Goodbye’ — the cast will be going all out for their covers, performing songs from artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Green Day, Madonna and more for their fond farewells. With many of the New Directions graduating from McKinley High in this episode, it’s only fitting that the glee club performs songs about moving on to the next phase of life.
“Jessica doesn’t deserve to be in the bottom three if she sang ‘Yankee Doodle Dandee,” mentor Jimmy Iovine said of Jessica Sanchez on ‘American Idol‘ tonight. Sanchez was nearly booted from the competition last week — she got a second chance after she was saved by the judges — but she made a triumphant comeback with covers of Alicia Keys‘ ‘Fallin” and Otis Redding’s ‘Try a Little Tenderness.’
In the past, 17-year-old ‘American Idol‘ contestant DeAndre Brackensick has struggled with nerves onstage. However, tonight when he was tasked to sing a song from the ’80s, the curly haired crooner blew away the crowd and judges with his pretty much flawless cover of DeBarge’s ‘I Like It.’
Relive the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards with these pictures from the show, including the most memorable moments (Hellooooo! Justin Bieber getting slimed?!) as well as performance shots of artists like Katy Perry. The Kids’ Choice Awards are always a fun-filled event, with practical jokes, funny skits, and a whole lot of screaming from fans, and the 25th edition (on March 31, 2012) of the show was no acception.
Tonight at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards, the red (or should we say orange) carpet was plentiful with pop stars posing for pictures. Singers like ‘Part of Me’ pop princess Katy Perry, Nickelodeon starlet Victoria Justice and ‘X Factor‘ cutie/recently signed Nickelodeon star Rachel Crow posed for paparazzi at the KCAs, held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on March 31. 2012.
Britney Spears is apparently such a fan of ‘X Factor,’ that she wants to become a judge on the show! A source close to Spears spoke to Us Weekly about the singer’s hopes to give her two cents on the judge’s panel on Simon Cowell‘s singing competition.
Taylor Swift and Zac Efron recently appeared on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ to promote their new Dr. Seuss movie ‘The Lorax,’ and when Degeneres wasn’t asking them about their film project, she was grilling them about relationship rumors. Degeneres asked Swift and Efron what they did for Valentine’s Day, but apparently there are no actual romantic sparks flying between the singer and actor.
The 2012 Grammy Awards were chock full of amazing performances, with Bruno Mars opening the show with a vivacious, dance-filled performance of his song ‘Runaway.’ Alicia Keys paid homage to the late Etta James, while fellow soulful diva Jennifer Hudson gave an outstanding tribute performance to Whitney Houston, who died just one night before the 2012 Grammys. Adele made her comeback with a rousing performance of ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ while Chris Brown was also welcomed back with open arms after performing ‘Turn Up the Music’ and ‘Beautiful People.’
