Don't worry, it's not Armageddon; but NASA scientists have confirmed that an asteroid, dubbed "2011 MD" will come relitively close to Earth on Monday.

Accordiong to the Huffington Post, 2011 MD will pass over the southern Atlantic Ocean at approximately 6:30am PDT, at a height of 7,500 miles above Earth's surface.

2011 MD is 33 feet long.  Scientists say these types of asteroids pass by Earth every six years.  Medium-sized telescopes may be able to see the asteroid as it passes us by.

Pretty exciting stuff!
