1 in 4 women in Larimer County will be the victims of domestic violence. That number is way too high. Alternatives to Violence is a resource and therapy agency that serves southern Larimer County, helps those that have

been victimized and seeks to drive that number down.

Starting May 17 they are beginning their new Victim Advocate training for those who would like to help in this major problem. Alternatives to Violence helps any victims of violent crimes, though the majority of the people they serve are vi

ctims of domestic violence.

I spoke with Alyse Friedel , Volunteer Coordinator for ATV. She told me more about the problem facing Larimer County.

It is bad. Think of how many women you know and think of which one [of four] will be affected by domestic violence.
