Around noon on Saturday, September 1st a slurry plane was visible south of Horsetooth Mountain. A wild fire broke out atop Milner Mountain. Several agencies are working the fire including. According to Loveland Fire Rescue Authority "a heavy air tanker has made several retardant drops in an effort to assist ground crews with containment efforts. Approximately 30 firefighters are working the fire, a 20 person hand crew has been ordered for additional support."

My cousin who has a beautiful house on Milner Mountain says "that terrain is super steep" and she thinks she "saw the (lightening) strike yesterday that started it."
