With Earth Day this week (Wednesday, April22), It's a good time to see how "eco-friendly" our state of Colorado really is. So how eco-friendly is Colorado and the rest of the states? Wallet Hub just released a new study ranking the most and least eco-friendly states in America.

The results is based on research related to the environment, like recycling, energy consumption, energy efficiency, CO2 emissions, gasoline consumption and green buildings.

Surprisingly, Colorado came in at the middle of the pack, at number twenty-one overall. Interestingly, Colorado also came in at forty-four in environmental quality, twelfth in eco-friendly behavior and thirty-ninth in soil quality. So, essentially, we have some catching up to do.
