I'm a sucker for inspirational words.  They tend to reach me on a very personal level (as I suppose they should).  This video strikes a special chord, though; because it's about an issue with which we all struggle: "What do I want to do with my life?"

This is a question I struggled with for a long time.  I've wanted to be a radio DJ since I was 13, and I did everything I could to make that a reality.  But at one point a couple years ago, I began to worry about things like money and job security; and I actually went back to school for a semester to learn a different trade.

It was the worst 16 weeks of my life.

Shortly after that, I decided not to continue down that path.  Instead, I re-focused on what I really wanted out of life, regardless of money and other factors.  In a matter of months, I was offered my current full-time job on the air here at Townsquare Media!

So needless to say, the words in this video really hit home with me.

The audio in this video was taken from a lecture by the late Alan Watts.  I had never heard of him before now; but after watching this video, I'll definitely be looking him up!
