There is plenty of beautiful video content in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado, and our Youtube channel reflects a lot of it.

In 2014, our videos showed the color, characters, campuses, conversations and classics; from Old Town to Lincoln Park; from Estes Park to the Ranch; From CSU to Lake Loveland. Here are our top 5.

The Redemption Race - Paul's Documentary

I made the Redemption Race because Youtube is a free platform, just waiting for us to publish anything we want on it. It's like the cave wall of old. The tree into which we carved a message of love, or a cafeteria table that now says that we were there because we had a sharp point and a desire to say something. You can put whatever you want on it, and people do.

Sure, it contains loads of crap and vile material, but that's what ends up on a truly free and open forum. People put beautiful things and terrible things and everything in between.

It's there, I wanted to put something on it. The lessons I learned and the messages I received when I quit drinking alcohol seemed like something solid to form a show around.

Since publishing it, I've heard from people all over the U.S., Canada, Europe and other parts of the world. Every so often a random email or Facebook message finds its way to me and thanks me for making it. I have to thank the people who helped me, and ultimately that's what it is about. The whole point of the series is that if we need help, it's out there and we'll be rewarded for seeking it.

Apparently kid lip dub.

Dave nailed it on this one. The only thing was that to do learn it so perfectly, the people who could hear the sounds coming from his office wanted to strangle Youtube because they heard the word 'apparently' so much.

Photo Math App

Our third most watched video came from a hotly trending topic in late October 2014. The photo math app was all over the place because it could use the camera lens in the phone to recognize integers and compute some pretty impressive math problems. Paul tried it out, and a lot of people watched.

Harmony and College Sign Dancer in Fort Collins

Tim Farnsworth adds a lot of local personality to Fort Collins, and it shows through on this video. It was a super fun topic on Facebook for a few days. His energy overflows and escapes the video, just like it does when you drive by him.

Winter Car Camping Tips from Paul

You can't sleep in the lot at the resorts anymore, like Warren Miller in the old days, but any skier who is really obsessed with the sport (see Paul Wozniak) have, at some time or another, camped in their vehicle. Paul's tips from a trip to Steamboat was our 5th most watched video in 2014.
