A polar vortex is sweeping across the U.S., which, yeah, sounds pretty terrifying. All it means is that a portion of air that usually circles the North Pole will break off and slide south into the Central U.S. this week: and yes, Colorado will be affected. (Source: CBS Denver)

We're used to cold temps in Colorado, but this cold front is unlike something many of us have ever seen before: in fact, areas like Minnesota are expected to hit temps as cold as -40 degrees. Yikes.

We won't have anything that bad in our area, but expect some drastic changes in temperature starting today: by tomorrow, CBS Denver reports that we could be in the single digits.
