Sad news: After five years, It looks like it's officially over for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.

Nick Cannon has confirmed the rumors that he and wife Mariah Carey are living apart.

As Nick Cannon continues to recover from mild kidney failure, Mariah Carey is passing along good news about her husband’s progress. “Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he’ll be discharged within 2 days,” she tweeted today. “As always he’s laughing and in good spirits.”

With Mariah Carey's tweet that her 31 year old husband was in an Aspen hospital with "mild kidney failure" it got me to wondering what exactly is that in a seemingly healthy young man.   Here's some of what I found out.

Mariah Carey is reporting that her husband, Nick Cannon, is in an Aspen, Colorado hospital this morning suffering from kidney failure. Carey is married to the 31-year-old Cannon and they are parents of twins, a boy and a girl.
