Strawberry Park Hot Springs brings you to one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The earliest settlers of Steamboat used to hear the abundance of hot water gushing from the ground, and it reminded them of the sound of steamboats. Hence the name. Though its other moniker is Ski Town, U.S.A, Steamboat Springs is a paradise in the summer, and a sunset soak in the hot springs anytime of year is magical.

About the Hot Springs

Strawberry Park Hot Springs are located just outside downtown Steamboat Springs. The road leading to them is a back-country dirt road that is gnarly in the winter. When you see the signs that say 'Do Not Proceed Without 4 Wheel Drive AND SNOW TIRES', you'd be best advised to heed them. Rescue from the ditch will take a long time and will be very expensive, so realize that this road in the winter is no joke.

In the summertime it is no sweat and once arriving at Strawberry Park you'll realize a rustic reality that is captivating and amazing. They don't accept credit cards, and they need to be pretty strict about things like glass bottles and other rules in order to make the experience great for everyone. Other than that, towels are $1 and be on your way!

A bunch of different pools so you can choose your heat level

Hot pool - You'll see the pipes in various places around the park. They pipe in water that comes heated by good ol' Mother Nature to various pools with the perfect mix of cool spring water to make one pool really hot, another pool sort of hot, another warm, and one that's almost cold.

 Clothing Optional?

Yes, the rumors you have heard about it being clothing optional are true. After dark, the rules loosen quite a bit. During the day, it's a great place to take the kids. Come sunset, it's a great place to take the adults.
