After the Democratic convention on Saturday (April 16, 2016), at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, presidential candidate Sanders took home more Colorado delegates than Clinton.

According to the Reporter Herald, tensions were high, as delegates fought for support of their preferred candidate. As the smoke settled, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders won the state of Colorado with a total of 41 delegates while Hillary Clinton was able to claim 25.

This was a surprising end result, as Clinton was projected by many to win Colorado, however that changes on Saturday in Northern Colorado.

This narrows the gap between the two candidates in total delegates, with Clinton having 1,758 to Sanders 1,076 (at the time of this article).
