First responders are the heroes in every city. This event is for BBQ lovers and pitmasters and sounds like so much fun. The 1st Annual Red and Blue BBQ Cook-Off on June 23 will consist of a BBQ contest between various teams, a head-to-head contest between North Metro Fire and Northglenn Police for top honors cooking a whole hog, live music all day and other festivities.

The money raised is for first responders killed or injured in the line of duty. Come enjoy a fun day of BBQ or join the action and get together a cook-off team. To enter the BBQ contest, it costs $50. Admission for the day is $15 online or $20 at the door.

Saturday, June 23rd from 11am to 6pm at the Northglenn City Hall on the SE corner of 120th and I-25.

All profits from the event will benefit the Coloardo Professional Firefighters Foundation and the Colorado C.O.P.S. charities, which support first responders who have been seriously injured or killed on duty.
