The Beatles, the Stones and a local quartet, how cool is that? On January 15th the touring show Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown comes to the Lincoln Center and the Poudre High School String Quartet will be joining the professional musicians on stage.

The Poudre High orchestra director was actually contacted by the tour. They were looking for "a quartet who could hold its own with a rock band in front of an audience." The rock showdown will be between Rolling Stones tribute band Satisfaction and Brit boys Abbey Road.

Poudre High School seniors Kiaya Johnston, Laina Heacock, Sophie Zoll, and Natalie Heacock make up the string quartet and will join the bands for the songs "Eleanor Rigby," "Yesterday," "A Day in the Life," "Hello Goodbye," "Hey Jude," "As Tears Go By," and "Ruby Tuesday."

Beatles vs. Stones comes to the Lincoln Center on Tuesday, January 15 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $35 - $65. Details at www.lctix.com. The show is appropriate for all ages.
