The inaugural Insane Inflatable 5k was just that- INSANE!

Great weather provided for a great day of running, bouncing, beer…and FUN!

We arrived at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park around 9 a.m. on Saturday for the Insane Inflatable 5k. Though we’d been talking about it on the radio for several weeks, I was still unsure of what to expect. It was epic! HUGE inflated obstacles were all over the place- starting right at the "Start" line!

The horn goes off - and my 9:30 wave takes off up the ‘diamond’ – climbing and bouncing to the top, then bouncing and sliding down - HERE WE GO!

There was a giant maze! A football feet thing - where you have to put your feet in the right holes or fall over! A room full of giant balls - like being inside a bumper-cars course! Giant slides - climb up, slide down, climb up, and slide down! Add these 12 obstacles to the actual distance of about 3 miles... and you had yourself a great FUN workout!

We saw some great costumes - Tutus, The Incredibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Police Officers... it was cool to see folks wanting to participate that way!

Afterwards - everyone hung out in the Insane Beer Garden for some refreshment; we all got our photos taken, and some even took home new puppies courtesy of the Dumb Friends League of Denver!

It was a very, very, very - bouncy and successful first-year event!

We’ll see you at the 2015 Insane Inflatable 5K!
