Brian Gary and I had the honor of hosting the lighting of the 2018 Realities For Children NightLights tree over the weekend. The big blue tree is on College Avenue, just south of Mulberry in the front yard of the First First Presbyterian Church.

"In addition to raising awareness of the issues of child abuse, NightLights is the largest fundraising campaign of Realities For Children, with a goal of raising over $150,000 by year's-end to meet the needs of children who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk in our community." It not too late to sponsor a light on the NightLights tree!

We all enjoyed hot soup from Z Catering,
hot drinks from Star of India, Sam's Club and Wander Coffee, a visit from Santa and homemade cookies! Music was provided by Ridgeview Classical School's Canta Lucis elementary choir and The Academy at Midtown Arts Center's "Pitch Perfect".

One kid won a 33lb chocolate Santa from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! The highlight of the evening was Ella Sokolowski singing on the lights to the NightLights Tree!

This very short YouTube video show's the NightLights tree being lit:

A big thank you to my lovely wife Jenny for taking all of the wonderful photos.
