With vacancy rates still at historic lows, a Chicago developer has bought the former Perkins location in Fort Collins to build an apartment complex. CA Ventures bought the property located at 310 S. College Ave for $3.5 million and plans to have the dwellings open by sometime next year. Their plan is to develop multifamily apartments with retail space on the first floor and with below ground parking. According to the Coloradoan, the developer is planning on one building, with an undetermined number of units. Representatives from the company will be in town next week to discuss the potential size and scope of the project with city officials. At this point, they plan on renting the units between $1,100 and $1,200 a month.
