Most Expensive New Year’s Eve Show? The Piano Man

Billy Joel will be playing the most expensive New Year's Eve show as we go from 2013 to 2014. According to Forbes, the average price ticket to see Billy Joel perform December 31 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY is $477. That's a lot of bread in his jar.

Surprisingly, that price is a bargain compared to his upcoming 'residency' at Madison Square Garden, where the average ticket price will be at almost $550.

Joel has said that he will play dates every month at MSG as long as there is demand. At that price, it's hard to say how long that demand will last. It's there for now. Shows are selling out!

As for other top prices on New Year's, Joel is the only one above $400, but there are numerous acts that are charging over $200 like Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Phish and Pitbull and Prince.
