The agencies investigating the puzzling shootings in Northern Colorado have released a letter to the public.
Unfortunately, it shed little new light on the situations facing our community. It reiterated information that had been released before, and did serve to communicate to the public the information that the agencies are working with.
They confirmed the shootings of John Jacoby and Cory Romero are linked, and that the shooting of William Connole is not related.
The four page letter is a rare move by law enforcement, and it could be part of their method of solving the crimes. They go on to admit that they are withholding some necessary information that may hinder their investigation if it were released, a protocol used in many cases, especially higher profile ones like this with potentially dangerous culprits behind it.
Further, concerning the shattered windows that keep happening on I-25, police say they have no solid evidence relating these to any of the deadly shootings, and that they may even be caused by road debris.
