Knoxville Might Play Moe in “Three Stooges” Movie

I may only be 25, but even I've seen my share of the classic, hilarious slapstick of The Three Stooges.  Well, now Fox is helming a movie remake of the old black-and-white series; and according to Variety, they want Johnny Knoxville to play Moe!

Knoxville, of Jackass fame, is reportedly intesested in playing the role, but has yet to offically enter negotiations with Fox.

Casting Knoxville would completely change the dynamic of the movie and it's iconic lead trio, angling more towards younger audiences.  According to Variety's article, this means actors like Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn and Jim Carrey (each of whom was supposedly eyeing the three lead roles) might be passed over in favor of younger actors.
