Legendary Colorado singer/songwriter, Wendy Woo, will be dazzling us with her wondrous vocals talents this Wednesday, July 15, as she brings her band to perform at the Lagoon Summer Concert Series at Colorado State University.

Recognized for her lively performances and unique singing voice, Woo has been called both "Queen of the Denver Scene" and a "one-woman music industry." She intertwines the musical genres of rock, blues, folk, and jazz into her 100 original songs that she not only performs, but writes as well. Woo even has a signature guitar style, that she has titled as "Slaptop," in which she actually beats her guitar as if it were a percussion instrument. This adds a unique edge and rhythm to her already dynamic songs.

The concert is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., and over the following two-hour evening span, listeners in the west lagoon lawn will experience a range of pure music pleasure– including everything from original and heartfelt songs, to creative covers that Woo always loves to perform. Also, expect to hear songs coming from her 11 recorded albums, and especially a few from her most recent album, Tipping Point, which was released in May of this year.

Woo is definitely a local legend. Growing up in Boulder and residing now in Loveland with her family, she makes around 200 appearances every year, always attracting audiences of all ages and impressing listeners with her amazing vocal abilities and entertaining performances.

Before The Wendy Woo Band hits the stage, attendees will have the pleasure of enjoying a short performance put on by the Little Kids Rock group, Riffenburgh Modern Band. Guests can also indulge in local vendors, fun games, and specialty food trucks that will be on site, including The Silver Seed, Taco Stop, and Amaize'n Kettle Corn. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and comfy blankets to sit on during the evening!
