It doesn't really matter where you are from, what you do, or what you like, there is at least one thing we all seem to have in common... A favorite Dr. Seuss book. Theodor Seuss Geisel, or Dr. Seuss, was born on this day in 1904 and now we celebrate March 2nd every year as Dr. Seuss Day. Having 46 of them to choose from, it seems as though everyone has their favorite. So, what is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?

Along with today being Dr. Seuss' birthday and Dr. Seuss Day, the impact he had on readers everywhere has March 2nd being celebrated as the annual date for National Read Across America Day, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.

Dr. Seuss passed away in 1991 of throat cancer, but his legacy is carried on today through not only his books, but many awards, statues, movies, and memorials throughout the country and the world.
