With the weather heating up and the school year coming to an end, I've started seeing more and more sidewalk chalk artwork in my neighborhood.  I actually love it.  Sometimes, you can watch an entire story unfold within those colorful marks on the concrete.  But the days are only going to get hotter, so how can the kids keep cool while their sidewalk artwork unfolds?

Two words: ice chalk!

This fun twist on a summertime staple comes from Pinterest.  Basically, mix equal parts water and corn starch, add food coloring in a variety of colors, and then freeze it in ice trays.  The results are pretty spectacular.

I know I don't have kids, but I'm gonna try this one anyway. Looks like a lot of fun!
