Having Bald Tires in the Winter in Colorado Can Cost You Big Bucks
Are your tires getting low on tread or you haven't checked the tread depth in a while? You might want to take a peek at your tires because if you don't have enough tread, it could cost you big bucks!
If you're driving in the snow and it's bad weather CDOT could have the Code 15 traction law restriction.
What does this mean for you and your tires?
Snow, All weather, Mud, 4 wheel drive tires must have at least 1/8 of an inch of tread. Additionally, for two drive tires you must have chains, auto sock, etc.
If your vehicle doesn't meet those requirements and you end up blocking traffic, you could be charged a $500 fine, plus an additional $157 surcharge! OUCH!
