Fort Collins Makes a Splash at the 2014 World Beer Cup

Little old Fort Collins, Colorado is actually a giant in the beer world. We already knew that here, but every year at the World Beer Cup, the rest of the world takes notice as well. This year 2 of our hometown breweries came home with medals! 

This year, Northern Colorado breweries didn't have to go far to compete as the competition was held in Denver, but that doesn't mean the competition was any less steep. 253 breweries from around the world took home 282 medals in 94 beer style categories.

Our winners came from Odell Brewing Co., which received a gold medal for Runoff Red IPA. Funkwerks was our other local winner, and they won a silver medal for its Belgian-style golden ale Deceit.
