What a great twist on encouraging creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit.

The popularity of Shark Tank shows that people are into creating their own businesses, products and services. It's not easy, but so many are inspired to do it. Now a local marketing company is working with high school students to nurture their creative progress.

Fort Collins High School’s Advanced Marketing Students are collaborating with Mantooth Marketing Company to host their 2nd annual Innovation Challenge: fchs shark tank edition on Saturday December 6th, 2014 at McNeal Auditorium.

McNeal is located on the north east corner of the campus.

The INNOVATION CHALLENGE will consist of three different challenge categories:

● entrepreneurial project
● invention
● new use for a common everyday item

One grand prize winner from the three categories will receive $1,000 dollars in cash. The second place winner will receive $500.

The event will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th. Student projects and presentations will be evaluated by a panel of three business-minded judges, all of whom were selected by the FCHS Advanced Marketing students.

This event is free and open to the public; however a five dollar donation will be requested at the entrance. The donation will support student run projects.
