Sunshine and 50-degree weather are predicted to return to Fort Collins this week to close off the month of February.

Temperature highs of 56 degrees on Tuesday and 55 degrees on Thursday were forecasted by the National Weather Service as of Sunday night for the week of Feb 25-28.

Both days were also predicted to have mostly sunny skies. The projected temperatures are above historical averages according to AccuWeather records.

The highs predicted are much warmer than the chilly weather Northern Colorado has experienced lately.

The high temps in Fort Collins had been below historical averages from Feb. 16 through Feb. 23 — last Monday peaked at 17 degrees and was one of just three days in 2019 where the high has been below 20 degrees. Flurries fell sporadically throughout the week.

But now some sunshine appears on its way for the work week.

  • Wednesday Feb. 27: High 44, Low 25.
  • Thursday Feb. 28: High 55, Low 24.
