One of the first things they taught me in journalism school at CSU was to ALWAYS VERIFY YOUR SOURCES.  I'd say this is especially true if you're having a guest on a live newscast.  Well, it looks like the managers of several news stations skipped their first day of journalism school...

The LA Times reports a fake chef, plugging a fake cookbook, made his way onto several newscasts across the Midwest.  He led the anchors in ridiculous recipe demos, and even knocked over a table or two.

The long prank was orchestrated by Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher, co-founders of the Found Footage Festival, an event that showcases humorous videos the two find at garage sales, dumpsters and thrift stores around the country.

I won't spoil anything; but needless to say, hilarity ensues.  Check out the video above!
