Jeff Lynne and ELO were hit making machines back in the 70's. Song after song, though each had the distinctive ELO sound, they were unique enough to be different than the last and immediate favorites in the pop-rock genre. Each song was a tight 3 to 4 minute pop friendly and radio friendly cut. Also, a heavy Beatles influence made them retro along with the progressive flavor. And man, did they crank out the hits. Check out just a few....and I'm sure you know them all....

"Fire On High"                                      "Telephone Line"
"Evil Woman"                                        "Livin' Thing"
"Strange Magic"                                    "Do Ya"
"Don't Bring Me Down"                         "Can't Get It Out Of My Head"
"Turn To Stone"                                    "Roll Over Beethoven"
"Sweet Talkin' Woman"                        "Showdown"
"Mr. Blue Sky"

My favorite? Not a radio hit and not from the 70's. Like all of their songs, this one is catchy and fun...

They haven't toured the states in 36 years, but they have booked only 10 dates for 2018. Denver is on that list with an August 8 show at the Pepsi Center.

There are two pre-sales: An American Express pre-sale on November 15th at 10am. A LiveNation pre-sale on November 16th at 10am. Tickets (how over many are left) will go on sale for everybody else on November 17th at 10am at livenation.com. Prices are $49.50-$149.50.

This is an historic tour and unfortunately for the rest of the country, a short one. Colorado is real fortunate to have these Rock and Roll Hall Of Famers in our state.
