DUI Arrests For 2017 In Colorado Over 10,000

Arrests for driving under the influence in 2017 were higher than 2016 by more than 3,000 according to CDOT.

Over the course of 14 enforcement periods in 2017, there were 10,359 drivers that were arrested for driving under the influence. CDOT estimates that there were 226 people that died in alcohol related crashes last year and around one third of the traffic deaths involved impaired drivers. In 2016, there were 7,279 drivers arrested for DUI's during 12 enforcement periods.
