DIY wedding favors and gifts are a great touch to any wedding.

Sure, there is something to be said about celebrity gift bags, like the ones Kim and Kanye reportedly were splurging on for their wedding.

Grazia UK reported that the couple will spend upward of $25 million on wedding favors alone. Included in the $125,000 goodie bags? $500 bottles of Bollinger champagne, $200 Creme de la Mer products, handmade souvenir trinkets with Kim and Kanye's initials etched in Swarovski crystals, bottles of scents from local perfumeries and $250 vouchers for treatments at the hotel's spa. Even the wedding invitations, which are said to be hand-delivered, will cost a reported $1,000 each.

That simply says, "We're rich," I'm sure that feels good to say, but doesn't feel as good to me as hearing, "We made this for you."

My favorite wedding favors of the past two years have been the homemade jellies and jams the brides and grooms have canned for their guests and so graciously gave to me as well (I'm not their guest, I'm their DJ).

The reason why they were my favorite? Because they were so delicious!

It was very nice to be able to go back, time and again, and eat from the jar. Partially, because I could live on peanut butter and jelly, and partially because it reminded me of the great night we all had every time the knife clinked glass. When it was gone, I was bummed.
