Four police officers were injured during a student on December 3 in downtown Denver.

A group of around 500 Denver high school students walked out of class to protest the St. Louis grand jury's decision not to indict former police officer Darren Wilson after he shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager, last August.

The East High School student protesters marched along the 16th Street Mall to the capitol building and downtown, chanting, "Hands Up, Don't Shoot."

Amid the chaos of the protest, according to theDenverChannel.com, one bicycle officer somehow made contact with and was dragged by the driver of a black Mercededs Benz. That officer was critically injured and required surgery on Wednesday night. Three other bicycle officers were also injured and taken to the hospital.
