Colorado is known for its abundance of beautiful scenery. With the many rivers, creeks and streams that flow throughout Colorado, there are tons of waterfalls to enjoy.

Some of these waterfalls are visible from your car, while others may take a bit of a trek to get to.

Either way, enjoying these flowing pieces of art is something you have to do.

Alberta Falls located in the Rocky Mountain National Park is an easy 1.7-mile roundtrip hike. Standing at 30 foot, this beautiful waterfall rushes down a small gorge on Glacier Creek and offers an excellent spot to enjoy a picnic.

Fish Creek Falls near Steamboat are best hiked during the spring. Snow runoff fills Spring Creek Canyon with rushing water that falls over the canyon with a thunderous roar.

Located near Pagosa Springs, Treasure Falls get their name from a legend of a buried treasure in the area. These falls can be viewed from the highway or a short quarter-mile hike to the observation center.

Talk about beautiful scenery. Located near Alamosa and the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Zapata Falls is a total adventure. The hike can be a bit difficult, but is short and worth the effort.

Rainbow Falls is best known for the graffiti that covers the canyon walls and overpassing bridge. Located in Manitou Springs, the falls are a short hike from the parking area.

Seven Falls in Colorado Springs is listed on the National Geographic’s list of international wonders. Towering over the canyon floor at 181 feet, it takes 224 steps to reach the peak. Definitely, an adventure to add to your list.

Another Colorado Springs area waterfall, Helen Hunt Falls are easily viewed from the highway if you're not into taking the short .1-mile hike.

The highest free-falling waterfall -- 365 feet to be exact -- in Colorado, Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride is as majestic as they come. Accessible via bikes, hiking or driving up the four-wheel drive road you'll see some of the best scenery Colorado has to offer.

Box Canyon Falls is tucked away in a box canyon just above the town of Ouray. These falls are easily accessible from the parking lot -- after you pay the $4 entry fee -- via a staircase, suspension bridge and hiking trails that can be viewed from top to bottom.

A popular waterfall to visit during the peak temperatures of Colorado's summers. Rifle Falls' short and handicap-accessible trail leads to these beautiful falls. Explore the areas hiking trails and cool off in the falls' mist.

Located just south of Ouray on Highway 550, Bear Creek Falls is just off the side of the road. Stop at the pull off, walk a few feet, and viola, a beautiful waterfall. Can't get any easier than that.
