The Denver Broncos may not have played in the Super Bowl, but that didn't stop Colorado residents from attending parties throughout the region that weekend.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, officers arrested 273 impaired drivers from February 3rd to February 6th. That number is down from last year, when 325 arrests occurred the weekend that the Broncos took on the Panthers.

It was all part of a collaboration effort between CDOT, Colorado State Patrol, and local law agencies, also known as The Heat is On campaign.

The highest arrest totals came from the Aurora Police Department (29 arrests), Colorado Springs (28 arrests), and the city of Denver (27 arrests).

Officials will be out in force for St. Patricks Day weekend for more DUI enforcement. That campaign will last 10 days and will kick off March 10th. In 2016, 355 drivers were arrested during that time period with more patrols throughout the state.
