Celebrate the dog days of summer by taking your pup to one of the upcoming pooch plunges, happening later this month in both Fort Collins and Greeley.

The City of Greeley will be hosting their annual Doggie Day at Discovery Bay from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 26. There will be two sessions — 10 a.m. to noon for dogs who are under 50 pounds and dogs who are 51 pounds or more will get to splash around from 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and can be purchased at the Family FunPlex or at the Greeley Recreation Center through August 25. One ticket will allow one dog and two human friends. Tickets/wristbands at the gate on the day of event will be $8 each. Additional human friends are $2 per person.

City Park Pool in Fort Collins is having their Pooch Plunge from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 27. Tickets for you and your four-footed friend are $8 in advance, and $10 on the day of. They can be purchased at EPIC and Mulberry Pool, but tickets are limited so buying them ahead of time is recommended. Ticket prices include admission for one dog and one human. Additional human tickets may be purchased for $2. The first 400 attendees to this year's Pooch Plunge will receive a complimentary doggy bag.
