Admit it, you've thought for years that your fury best friend is really thinking something when he looks at you. It's like you can hear him giving you advice or whatever, well it looks like the proof is in and they do think and feel like a human.

THERE IS REASONABLE PROOF THAT YOUR POOCH IS HUMAN-LIKE

After a two-year study at Emory University researchers feel like they have a greater grasp on Fido and his human-like emotions and reactions.

The 12 dogs involved in the study were trained to lie still for an M.R.I without any sedation. And the results are phenomenal. The dogs were subjected to a variety of smells and all responded with the same or similar joy receptors seen in humans to familiar humans, even more so than familiar dogs.

Further studies proved that the dogs responded to the human emotional state. The dogs could effectively sense when a human was sad or happy. They instinctively seem to understand the context of conversations, noting when someone is happy or sad with them or in general.

At a Hungarian University dogs were noted to run towards 'their' human verses running away when they were scared, as cats and horses will do. Dogs are also known to look their human in the face while being spoken to, something that they don't even do with their natural parents.

The studies done recently indicate that dogs are more like people than animals, that they respond more like human toddlers than 'just' pets, resulting of course, in possibly a new way of thinking about how dogs are treated.
