So far in 2015, more people have dies from this mundane task, than have been killed by sharks. So far in 2015, only 8 people have been killed by sharks. So what is so dangerous that it has caused the Russian government to teach classes to execute it safely? Well, the answer is taking a selfie.

According to the Daily Mail, twelve people have died so far in 2015 from selfie related accidents. Most recently, a 66-year-old man from Japan, died after falling down a set of stairs at the Taj Mahal while attempting to take an epic selfie.

The increase of selfie related deaths, has even prompted the Russian interior ministry to release literature on how to take an appropriate selfie, and not endanger yourself and those around you.

In this age of overreaction, I wonder when the government will make a law banning selfie sticks? Maybe they will just allow people to own and operate a selfie stick after an in depth background check? But first they need to classify the difference between a selfie stick, and assault selfie stick. Does this mean that with the amount of selfies the Kardashians and Jenners take, are they now considered a menace to the public?
