Warren Federal Credit Union, based in Wyoming, announced plans to build a new branch in Fort Collins and bring about 15-20 new jobs to the city. According to an article, WFCU will build a new branch near Drake and Timberline in Fort Collins. This will be the credit union’s second Colorado location.

WFCU will build a 10,000-square-foot, full-service branch, its second in Colorado. They also have a service center in Wellington. The new location will be WFCU’s eighth branch overall, with other locations in Laramie and Cheyenne.

The credit union is open to anyone and currently serves just under 40,000 members.  They recently passed $400 million in assets, according to Michael Nagl, who is currently the credit union’s chief lending officer but will become the Colorado market vice president when the Fort Collins location opens at the end of 2012.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2012. According to WFCU’s website,  the credit union currently has branches in Wellington, Laramie and Cheyenne.
