Woman Who Won’t Date Men Named ________?

A friend of mine recently decided that the shortened version (Larry) of his given name (Lawrence, I'm assuming), wasn't scoring him any points with the ladies.

So how does this barroom convo go?

Guy - "Hi, I think you are pretty and cool."

Girl - "I think you are handsome and interesting. What is your name?"

Guy - "Larry."

Girl - "Oh. Umm, nevermind."

Well, maybe it wasn't that blunt, but the general belief that being named 'Larry' was hurting his chance with the eligible single ladies was enough to have him ask us to start calling him 'Lance'.

No joke.
