Nastco, ThinkStock[/caption]What would you do if you found out the home that you are renting used to be a crime scene?

I swear this sound sounds like a made-for-TV movie, but this is the real-life nightmare one woman is facing in St. Louis, as KDVR reported.

The home, a typical ranch house on a tree-lined street.

The woman signed the lease without a worry, but then a family member told the woman to check out a cold case documentary about serial killers airing on the A&E network.

The woman found out that she is living in the same Ferguson, Mo., house serial killer Maury Travis used as a torture chamber. The landlord was even gracious enough to give her the dining room table.  This is the same one pictured in the crime scene photos.

But it’s what happened downstairs that is just creepy and freaks her out the most. That’s where Travis recorded some of his crimes.

“This whole basement was his torture chamber and it’s not OK,” she said.

The woman called her landlord, begging to get out of the lease, but the landlord wasn’t sympathetic.

Are you ready for this?  The landlord is the killer’s mom.

The mother claims that she told the woman currently renting the home about the home’s dark past. The woman says that of course that simply isn't true, she would have remembered the people murdered in the basement part.

Sorry to report on such a morbid story but this creeped me out.  What would you do if you found this out about your home?
