With a Moo Moo Here… a Cold Night Ahead
I’ll be bundling up my horses for the Siberian cold weather moving in tonight. Each of my four Arabians has her or his own moo moo plus extras if someone starts to shiver. It’s not something I do for just them, it’s so I can sleep at night without worry.
My husband and friends tease me that animals have fur to keep them warm and have been doing fine in the cold forever. As I mentioned, I bundle them up so I don’t feel
bad that they are out in the cold. When mama’s cold, everyone’s cold.
Here’s what the National Weather Service says:
- Snow. Low around 9 tonight. Wind chill values as low as -3. Blustery, with a north northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
- Wednesday Snow. Temperature rising to near 10 by 11am, then falling to around 4 during the remainder of the day. Wind chill values as low as -6. North northeast wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
