[/caption]There's fresh snow on the ground and it's time to celebrate the spirit of Christmas today in Windsor. Things kick off with Santa Claus himself arriving in a horse-drawn carriage this afternoon. Live reindeer, carolers, carriage rides, photos, clogging, free hot chocolate, the lighting of the town Christmas tree are just a few of the holiday events planned for today.

Want to know more?

You and the kids can see Santa when he comes down Main Street to the Arts & Heritage Center right around 2:15. Starting at 2:30 you can get photos by iPix with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

We'll have a booth set up in the Arts & Heritage Center stop by and say hi, and then check out some of the other holiday festivities going on:

  • The National Guard Armory will be giving out free Hot Chocolate, and there will be peanut brittle and fudge for sale.
  • Live Reindeer
  • Carriage Rides
  • Downtown Shopping
  • Clogging Demonstrations
  • Christmas Carolers
  • And the afternoon will wrap up with the lighting of the Windsor Town Christmas Tree and the lighting of the town around 4:45 at Boardwalk Park.

If you love anything and everything Christmas, Windsor is the place to be this afternoon, just dress warm.
