It was just a normal Thursday in Fort Collins.

I was working, running errands, picking up dinner, doing standard stuff.

The difference was, on this day, for some reason, a few simple, yet out of the ordinary events happened right in front of me. As you can see in the video, a horse drawn carriage walked by. Not strange in Fort Collins. However, having never lived anywhere that has horse drawn carriages in town all the time, I still retain the ability to see that this is a special, fairy-taleish event.

Then, I walked into Old Town Square and a man was playing a very nice rendition of Let It Be on a Pianos About Town piano. The city puts them there in hopes that people will just sit down and play songs and enrich the lives of passers-by because they've created art in a public place. Mission accomplished.

I also think I need to give props to the events of the rest of the day. My coworkers were pleasant and on point. So was my wife. I had a meeting about working with people who are trying to improve the city, and my yoga instructor had just taken me close to the sanskrit word for which the practice is named. Then, I stepped onto College Ave. at sunset. The light was perfect, everything else seemed to be as well.

I live for such moments of ecstasy.
