What Do We Have To ‘Lose’?
Have you ever heard the phrase 'Get out of your own way'?
What a great concept! The idea that we are the only thing standing between where we are and where we want to be is empowering and intimidating at the same time.
It means that we can do anything, IF we can move past our personal blocks and open ourselves to other ways of doing things.
So what we have to lose may be more than weight. It may be more than poor eating habits. In fact, all of these things may go away really easily, if we could only let go of the self-imposed issues that we initiate ourselves.
What is our block?
What is the big issue that is stopping us from doing what we want to do, being what we want to be, or having what we want to have?
Well, that's the big question. If I have discovered what any, or many of my issues are, it began with looking at my fears and resentments. When I examined them, even though I didn't do too much to eradicate them, it really helped me understand why I was operating the way I was.

That's what fear usually is, false evidence appearing real. Or, if you are really in danger, like being chased by an animal with sharp claws and teeth, it stand for F#$@% Everything And Run!
That, however, is rarely the case. And our fears are likewise, mostly unfounded.
Once we identify our biggest fears, and look at them objectively, they often dissipate and disappear. Then, we can make some real progress toward what we want to do, be and have!
